Capcom’s shuttering the US operations for its Capcom Store while keeping its European store up-and-running.
Capcom’s very own digital storefront aptly named the Capcom Store is shuttering its US operations as soon as the month rolls over. This news comes after murmurs of the shutter began making their rounds.
According to GamesIndustry, the shutter will only affect its US store, which means its European audience is in luck, though, in large part, the European storefront puts more of a focus on clothing and appeal and is run by a third-party, whereas its US store offered up games and was mostly under the control of Capcom.
This doesn’t mean fans won’t get any new merch from the developer, though, they will continue to work with partners to offer up some nifty merchandise.
“While Capcom USA will no longer be operating its own online store, Capcom will continue working with licensing partners to bring merchandise based on our IP to fans.”
