Terri Vellmann and Doseone are letting fans pick up Sludge Life free of charge for a whole year.
Not even a day after release, the indie open-world glitch-hop, Sludge Life, is already free. Launched today, this indie title offers up a bizarrely designed world befitting a specific genre of music and a level of oddity that even the craziest gamers may raise an eyebrow at. The kicker to this free game is it’s not the free game of the week (that honor goes to Borderlands: The Handsome Collection). It’s also not free for a week or even a month. The sale, which started today, ends today in 2021.
That’s right, you have the entire year to pick up this M-rated, psychedelic adventure until you have to spend a modest $14.99. Currently, the game is only available on the Epic Games Store and will be seeing a console release sometime later this year for the Switch.
Playing the role of GHOST, a wannabe vandal looking to tag anywhere they can, you can traverse an open-world with apps to collect and play on your computer. As they say on the Sludge Life sales page “Find and download apps to your laptop and waste your life away playing a game in a game.”

They also seem proud of its “robust credits” as well as a dedicated fart button. On top of all that, there’s even a cat with two buttholes. What more can you want?
