Paper Mario: The Origami King stealthily launches a colorful trailer to give us only a taste of what’s to come.

The idea of Paper Mario making a comeback has crossed the minds of many in the past, leaving fans wondering what Nintendo would do. The previous two entries of the paper-thin plumber’s adventures were far from the best in the franchise. Maybe, just maybe, all this will be mended as Nintendo aims to launch Paper Mario: The Origami King this July.

Revealed in a sneakily released trailer earlier this month, The Origami King tasks you to embark on a quest as the titular mustachioed plumber to stop the devious King Olly. If that wasn’t enough, he’s even taken Bowser’s minions away and enlisted them to help.

With the newly added 1000-Fold Arms, it’s up to you to pull, peel, and stretch your way to reveal new paths and secrets along your journey. In a bid to let players “flex their puzzle-solving skills,” Nintendo has also gone about adding a ring-based attack system.

This new system isn’t for the slow-minded, though, it’s only for those sharp-minded folks. But, it isn’t just the plumber on this quest, you’ll also receive help from origami-formed Oliva, Toads, and – most surprisingly of all – Bowser. No doubt, he’s wanting to reclaim his minions from.

Paper Mario: The Origami King is hitting store shelves on July 17.
