Dontnod Entertainment has just opened an international studio based in Canada.
Life is Strange developers Dontnod Entertainment have opened their first international studio in Montréal, Canada. The French indie developer currently has over 250 employees at its Paris based location and the new studio will help expand and build on the already successful company.
CEO Oskar Guilbert said this about their expansion:
“We are delighted to share our plans of expansion with the opening of this new office in Montréal, completing the talented team working out of Paris. Our goal is to create video games as close as possible to our community’s expectations. With this new international team, we will be able to envision even more ambitious titles and keep writing wonderful stories for our players.”
With the opening of the new Canadian studio, Dontnod is looking to start the hiring process. The new staff is to start work on a new project from the get-go. The nature of the new project has yet to be revealed, but we can be sure that it won’t be long before there is more news on this mystery project.
The studio is responsible for both Life is Strange 1 and 2. They’re also in charge of the dark RPG franchise, Vampyr.
